(BROKEN MILK CAKE)
Ingredients :
1. Fresh Chhana/Chhena/Broken Milk – 2cups
2. Sugar (granulated) – 1cup
3. Semolina/Sooji – 2tbs
4. Ghee/Clarified Butter – 1tbs
5. Cardamom Powder – 1tsp
6. Raisins – 1-2tbs
7. Almonds – thinely sliced – 1tbs
Preparation :
Preheat your oven at 180degree Celsius/356degree Fahrenheit.
Take the chhana/chhena in a plate and start mashing it really well, so that it won't have any lumps. Add the sugar and mash again. At this point, you will notice that the mixture is getting little wet because of sugar, but that is ok, keep mashing. If you notice that your mixture is looking more like a dough and not like a cake batter, you can add 1-2tbs of water into this. Add semolina/sooji, cardamom powder, ghee/clarified butter and mix these. Finally add raisins and almonds and mix.
Grease a baking pan with little ghee and pour the above mixture into the pan.
Baking Steps :
Bake it for 45-50mins at 180degree celsius, but check occasionally.
After baking, cool it completely before serving.
